You will love your hearty, wholesome breakfast (wherever possible we use local produce - our own eggs, delicious home-made preserves made from local fruits, home-made yoghurt, home-made bread and avocados from our own property), eaten in our charming well appointed dining room where you will be waited upon and spoiled rotten whilst sharing the company and relaxed conversation with other guests.
Cheryl & Richard sincerely believe that the 'breakfast' in Bed & Breakfast stands for a special occasion 'every' day and ensure that guests are well fed and get a great start to the day ahead of them on beautiful Mount Tamborine. It is our favourite time of the day and we like it to be a highlight for our guests. We are happy and pleased to be able to cater for vegetarian, gluten free and other diets on request.
Arriving directly from a hard day at the office and / or a long drive and feeling tired, starving hungry and just too worn out to bother with going out to dinner? Been playing too hard all day during your stay on Tamborine Mountain and worked up a big appetite? If you feel like staying in and enjoying the intimate surroundings of your own room with your partner or friend then the 'couples BBQ pack' could be just what you need.
When a group of eight book our four rooms for a weekend, Cheryl and Richard offer a unique "at home" dining experience. Cheryl and Richard have a wealth of knowledge preparing dinner parties, they bring passion to the preparation and presentation of their dinners, using quality tableware and candlelight to enhance the dining experience.

Share our beautiful home on glorious Mt Tamborine, just an hour from bustling Brisbane City and only 35 minutes from the busy Gold Coast. Make a getaway and take a small break (you deserve it) and prepare to visit a special, magical, wondrous area formed millions of years ago, 550 meters above sea level and located just behind the Gold Coast in an area that is known as 'The Gold Coast Hinterland'. Mount Tamborine with its pristine National Parks (including the oldest National Park in Queensland) has a unique climate and peculiar ecosystems, which supports a very diverse range of fauna and flora.
Your B&B (should you accept our invitation to visit) is set amongst all of this natural beauty. Centrally located so that you are only ever 5 minutes away from all that the mountain has to offer, Avocado Sunset B&B offers you a luxurious and comfortable home from which you can explore the many delights of Mt Tamborine.
