Eating OutDining in Tamborine Mountain

Belvedere on MainMain Street - phone 07 5545 4063

Mario hails from Naples, the home of the Pizza and has the only wood fired pizza oven on the Mountain.  His pizzas are amazing.  As is typical in Italian restaurants, the servings are generous, the venue quite small and the staff friendly.  This is a restaurant we recommend, it is open seven days a week and can always be relied on to be consistent.  If you love Italian food you will love Belvedere on Main.

Clancy's Irish Bar & RestaurantMain Street - 07 5545 1531

Great Irish comfort food from the Beef and Guinness Pie, Irish Stew to the Bangers and Mash, you can't go past Clancy's Irish Pub.  Beer and Guinness is On Tap and served by the pint!  The servings are generous!  Along with the regular Irish specialities, there is a seasonal menu that changes regularly.  Friday and Saturday nights there is live Irish music, the fire burns warm in Winter and the deck is great on a Summer evening with an ice cold beer.  Clancy's is more a restaurant than a pub but reminds you of Ireland - open seven days but not on Public Holidays.

Georges ParagonGallery Walk - phone 07 5545 4223

This popular restaurant ticks all the boxes!  Open seven days, no bookings required, wide and varied menu.  As with other Georges Restaurants, seafood and Greek food are the specialities, but there are steak and pasta dishes too.  Georges is a cross between fine dining and a family restaurant, the prices are amazing, the quality can always be relied on and the service is fantastic.  We cannot recommend Georges highly enough - always brilliant!

HickoryTown Square - phone 07 5545 4428

This fun new restaurant is all about ribs!  Ribs cooked to perfection, sticky and yummy, with great side dishes, craft beers and cocktails.  The venue is tiny which just adds to the atmosphere.  What a great concept - it has really taken off so bookings are essential.

Leaf Japanese RestaurantTamborine Plaza, Cnr of Beacon Road - phone 07 5545 4223

Leaf will amaze you!  It is a tiny restaurant, run by the chef and one other!  The food is fantastic, not all Nori rolls and raw fish but a seemingly unending choice of dishes to suit all tastes.  Wine and beer are sold but BYO is also available so this doesn't have to be an expensive night out!  Leaf comes on our list of recommendations, can't fault it on quality, value for money and service.

Masala Shanti Indian RestaurantCnr Long Road & Gallery Walk - phone 07 5545 3500

Shiju and Alex have created a top class Indian Restaurant here on Tamborine Mountain!   Wow, the flavours are just fabulous, the portion size is perfect if you don't get carried away and of course the service is great too.  This restaurant is beautifully done in every way and it is BYO as well as licensed too which makes it great value for money.  If Indian food is your preference, this is a must!  Perfect in every way!

Songbirds in the RainforestGeissman Drive - phone 07 5545 2563

Classy!  Songbirds is a special place to dine!  The restaurant in partly outdoors in the midst of a floodlit rainforest.  Heaters and blankets are provided on those chilly nights.   Songbirds menu to always creative and perfectly presented, the portions may be a little small for some but this is more than compensated by the perfection of the flavours.  This is another pick for that special occasion - again higher on the price spectrum but well worth it.  Just an experience in itself!

The Old ChurchCnr Long Road & Curtis Road - phone 07 5545 1949

Andrew Quarantini is an amazing chef and we are privileged to have him on the Mountain at The Old Church Restaurant.  Andrew's menu is unique in that all his courses are available as an entree or main size so even people with small appetites can enjoy two courses.  Naturally his deserts are beautifully crafted to complete your meal.  The Old Church is THE place to go for that special occasion, in the upper price range it is worth the money for the quality of the food and service.  The degustation dinner is highly recommended.
