Showground Markets Tamborine Mountain - Next Market Sunday 12th February 2012

The exciting and bustling Showground Markets are held on Mount Tamborine the 2nd Sunday of every month. If you are in the mood to buy there are lots & lots of interesting stalls enticing you with their very diverse range of products. Pick something up for yourself, a family member or that someone very special in your life. Should you get hungry or thirsty there are many food stalls to satisfy your appetite whilst listening to background music or letting performers entertain you. Lots to do for all of the family. Just follow the signs and the line of cars to get to the market.

School Markets Mt Tamborine - Next Market Sunday 26th February 2012

The quaint School Markets are held on the last Sunday of every month opposite the Tamborine Mountain State School (cnr Long & Curtis Roads). Stalls galore with fun and interesting products for sale, especially bric-a-brac, antiques, country furniture, books and craft. They say that you can get the best value and best tasting burger around at the market so you'll just have to pop up and give them a try. Not feeling in the mood for a burger then visit one of the many food stalls for other tasty offerings and refreshing drinks.

Garter Belts & Gasoline Nostalgia Festival - Friday 4th May thru Monday 7th May 2012

After a year of planning and a great deal of work it is official.

The GarterBelts & Gasoline Nostalgia Festival will be held on beautiful Tamborine Mountain next year on the Labour Day Long Weekend ( Friday the 4th of May to Monday the 7th May 2012)

This fun festival started out as a one day show and quickly grew to a weekend, it is the organisers intention to grow the festival to a full four day weekend and to be a must do on the Nostalgia Car & Music calender.

What Is GB&G? The festival is a celebration of the Cars, Music, Fashion, Art & Lifestyle born of the 1940s & 1950s.

The weekend will involve Vintage Movies at the Tamborine Mountain Zamia Theater, Live Rockabilly, Alt Country, Blues and Roots Music at two mountain venues on Friday,Saturday & Sunday nights, there will be a four day Art Exhibition which in the past has attracted American Artists Max Grundy and James Owens.

The weekend will also feature the Hot Rod & Custom Carnivale, this will be held at the show grounds on the Sunday and will feature a Rod & Custom show,Vintage Markets, Live Bands all day, Food Vendors, Art Exhibition, a High Tea & Antique Shop tour.

Scarecrow Festival Mount Tamborine - Weekend of Friday 19th October thru Sunday 21st October 2012

This wonderfully entertaining event held every year on Tamborine Mountain over a full weekend, allows visitors and locals alike to explore the 'Scarecrow Trail' around the mountain and discover the many artistic (and some downright comical) scarecrows created by the good people of Mt Tamborine.

The festival atmosphere is maintained with musicians and other performing artists to entertain you. There are many food and drink 'opportunities' to ensure that you do not go hungry or thirsty as well as all of the normal attractions of Tamborine Mountain (please visit our things to do on Mount Tamborine page to get some ideas and to help you plan your visit).

Tour de Tamborine - Sunday 25th November 2012

Set in the picturesque surroundings of Tamborine Mountain and the Gold Coast Hinterland, the day comprises the organisation of several cycling, running or walking events for all ages and abilities, backed up with fun family activities and entertainment, all with the purpose of raising much needed funds for charity.
