The exciting and bustling Showground Markets are held on Mount Tamborine the 2nd Sunday of every month. If you are in the mood to buy there are lots & lots of interesting stalls enticing you with their very diverse range of products. Pick something up for yourself, a family member or that someone very special in your life. Should you get hungry or thirsty there are many food stalls to satisfy your appetite whilst listening to background music or letting performers entertain you. Lots to do for all of the family. The quaint School Markets are held on the last Sunday of every month opposite the Tamborine Mountain State School (cnr Long & Curtis Roads). Stalls galore with fun and interesting products for sale, especially bric-a-brac, antiques, country furniture, books and craft. They say that you can get the best value and best tasting burger around at the market so you'll just have to pop up and give them a try. Not feeling in the mood for a burger then visit one of the many food stalls for other tasty offerings and refreshing drinks. Scarecrow Festival Mount Tamborine - Weekend of Friday 25th June thru Sunday 27th June 2010
This wonderfully entertaining event held every year on Tamborine Mountain over a full weekend, allows visitors and locals alike to explore the 'Scarecrow Trail' around the mountain and discover the many artistic (and some downright comical) scarecrows created by the good people of Mt Tamborine. The festival atmosphere is maintained with musicians and other performing artists to entertain you.
